Each one came from an annoyance of my own: links opening where they should not, something copied that was no longer there, notes locked inside somebody else's application.
There is no paid tier and nothing kept behind a wall, because nobody's money keeps them running. The source is published in full, with its licence, so anyone can read it, change it, or carry on alone if this ever stops.
There is no telemetry either. I do not know how many people use them, and that is exactly the point.
